Crispy Crust‘s own Drunken Masters and ESKEI83 went on tour with legendary A-Trak for a couple of gigs in Germany. For all you poor souls who couldn’t be there, cheer up. Here’s some video footage of their show at Showboxx Dresden on November 21st, where they were joined by DJane Yo-C. Watch out, all you young boys out there, you might learn a thing or two. Jack Ü, the supergroup composed of Skrillex and Diplo, just released their first official track. It is called Take Ü There and features lyrics by Kiesza. The song comes with an energetic video, dazzlingly covered in paint, showing the artists in action.

Just like a chef who travels the worlds culinary Meccas to find spices and new ingredients for his next signature dish, Baauer visits exotic places to discover the right sounds for his upcoming debut album.
“I never met anyone that focused”, says Rick Rubin‘s former NYU-Rommate Adam Dubin in the Rolling Stone film Dawn of Def Jam. In the ten minute film Rubin visits his old Dorm Room, the place where it all started. The first Def Jam record actually had the adress of that room on it, which made LL Cool J send his first Demos there. So Rick Rubin was literally taking folks to school.
Listen closely, as the legend basically gives you the secret to his success: going against what was established at the time and not being afraid to fail. “It really was about the DJ’s place in Hip-Hop, being in a way equal to that of the MC”, says Rubin. And he continues: “Noting that happened was intentional. Nothig. Everything was trying to make something cool to play for our friends that they would like. That’s all it ever was.”
