Jack Ü, the supergroup consisting of Diplo and Skrillex, made a fair year-end statement with the release of Take Ü There feat. Kiesza. Now the Drunken Masters & Ben Esser, both calling Crispy Crust Records their cosy home, have cooked up this exciting remix.
Crispy Crust‘s own Drunken Masters and ESKEI83 went on tour with legendary A-Trak for a couple of gigs in Germany. For all you poor souls who couldn’t be there, cheer up. Here’s some video footage of their show at Showboxx Dresden on November 21st, where they were joined by DJane Yo-C. Watch out, all you young boys out there, you might learn a thing or two. For example how to immaculately shave it.
Time for a quick lesson in basic German linguistics. There is a saying called “Lass die Affen aus’m Zoo”. Translated word by word this means: “Allow the apes to leave the zoo”, the proper meaning being: “Go apeshit”. That is exactly what this song, remixed by Crispy Crust‘s very own Drunken Masters, will make you want to do.
Insalata mista is Italian and means mixed salad. But we’re sure all you gourmets out there already knew that. It is the perfect example of how a mix doesn’t always have to be extravagant to be enjoyable. Salad and a few raw vegetables are all there really is to it. The insalata mista should be a standard dish on any decent menu, just as a mix of basic bass and a few additional raw sounds should be part of any DJs set.
