Talib Kweli has never shied away from telling it like it is, even if people generally don’t want to hear it. He is one of the best to deliver wise words with an immaculate flow over super smooth beats.
As the world is gradually waking up to the fact that our entire monetary system is a complete fraud, the MC from Brooklyn New York aptly calls his latest release F*ck the money. Plain and simple.
The album’s intro quotes Randy Pausch who delivered a speech about passion at Carnegie Mellon University on the 18th of May 2008, only two months before he died:
“And you will need to find your passion. Many of you have already done it, many of you will later, many of you may take till your 30’s or 40’s. But don’t give up on finding it, alright? Because then all you’re doing is waiting for the reaper. Find your passion and follow it and if there is anything I have learned in my life, you will not find that passion in things and you will not find that passion in money because the more things and the more money you have, the more you will just look around and use that as the metric and there will always be someone with more.”
