He did it again: Sam Smith – Lay Me Down (Flume Remix) (Audio)

It is a collaboration that has been waiting to happen: Flume & Sam Smith. The Australian remix god added his unique flavor to Lay Me Down off of Smith’s debut album In The Lonely Hour.

Flume is one impressive son of a gun. The Australian producer turns virtually every song he touches into an unparalleled symphony of beauty. Surely you have to agree, that his take on Disclosure’s You & Me is one of the greatest works of art ever created by man.

And then there’s Sam Smith. Jaws all around the globe dropped when the 22 year old brit dropped his debut album In The Lonely Hour a year ago. It contains a number of genuine hit records, amongst them Lay Me Down. As is the case with Flume, one of Smith’s breakthrough performances was a collaboration with Disclosure. Watch the video to Latch below.

Says Flume about his Sam Smith remix: “I’ve spent the last few months in the studio working on a bunch of new material, but wanted to share this first, a remix of Sam Smith Lay Me Down – there’s also some new tour dates up on www.flumemusic.com – i can’t wait to play some of this new stuff to you!”

Well, we’ve compiled those dates for you. As you can see, there’s virtually no place on earth Flume isn’t showing up in these coming months. The good news is: with the exception of his two homeland gigs at the end of May, and the Electric Forest Festival on June 25th, there are still ticket available.
